Roatan is a very special and exciting travel destination for travelers, both seeking a unique adventure off the beaten path, as well as those with a desire for luxury and all the comforts of home. Roatan has rapidly become one of the fastest growing and in-demand locations in the Caribbean with a blend of amenities, both modern and luxurious… rustic and nomadic.

The Island is home to two cruise ship terminals that are serviced by all major North American cruise operators. The Island also offers direct weekly direct flights from Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston via United, Delta, American Airlines and Cayman Airways. Daily domestic flight connections from mainland Honduran cities like San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba and Tegucigalpa are available through CM Airways, Sosa Air and Avianca. Connections can be made through these airlines from all Central American countries. There are two weekly charter flights (Seasonal) through large tour operators from Toronto and Montreal, Canada offering some of the more affordable inclusive rates on the Island.

Detour was founded with the goal of offering reliable, exciting and unique tours and excursions. Our principal objective is to show our guests the Island that we know and love. It’s sights and sounds, the lush tropical jungles and hillsides, the white sand beaches, turquoise waters, exotic marine life and the beautiful people that make this Island special and not just the designated areas that have been pre approved for tourists. Roatan offers much more than just sand and sun.
