Horseback riding gives visitors a whole new perspective on the beauty and wonder of Roatan. This horse riding adventure tour is a treat for riders of all skill levels, especially families and children. Roatan Island horses are very tame, easy to ride, and our adventure tours are conducted at an easy-going pace.

Your tour will explore the West End to West Bay Beach area by horse. The trail will take you through some of the most stunning scenery Roatan has to offer. Admire the Caribbean ocean views while your horse guides you along sandy shorelines, past coconut trees and even through turquoise ocean waters. The tour ends at West Bay Beach, where you may enjoy a quick swim before returning to your cruiseship.

Your tour guide will be an experienced island horseman who will share his knowledge of the island's nature and history during your horse riding adventure. Horseback riding has long been a way of life in Roatan. Until the last couple of decades, it was the main form of land transportation on the island. Come take a small step back in time with us and enjoy exploring Roatan with a horseback riding adventure tour.

Horseback riding time of tour is approx 1 1/2 hrs.

What to Bring:
You should heed the advice below about riding attire and bring the following personal items:
* Wear long pants to avoid getting scratched in the jungle and chafed from the saddle. Many riders wear jeans, although you may find them too hot. Light cotton pants may be a better option.
* Wear closed shoes. They have a better grip in the stirrups.
* A knapsack is much more comfortable for carrying gear than a shoulder bag.
* Swimwear if visiting the beach.
* Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
* Insect repellant.
* Cash for small purchases.

Level of Physical Exertion:
Participants should be relatively fit and active and weigh no more than 250 pounds. Please let us know in advance if any members of your group weigh over 200 pounds so we can prepare the appropriate horses and gear.
